Mae
stro—who’s currently dazzling Hollywood with her dramatic performances in a string of celebrated movies, including Tango, (Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Film of 1998) and the new Mike Figgis film Time Code — worked exclusively with Stewart to prepare for her starring role in For Love or Country.    HBO executives are giving For Love or Country even more prominence by airing a documentary on its production and chilling subject matter. Stewart appears in that documentary (picture L to R: Andy Garcia, Stewart, his clients Nestor Torres, Mia Maestro & Gloria Estefan), as he spent many hours on location with the performers. He attended the Miami premiere of the movie, hosted by Gloria and Emilio Estefan at their world famous eatery, Bongos, November 11, 2000. The production also stars Andy Garcia (2001 Emmy and Golden Globe nominee for his performance) and Estefan — who Stewart coached on-set for her motion picture debut in Music of the Heart, starring Meryl Streep and Angela Basset. Stewart also coached Gloria on-set for the HBO presentation.

Most recently, Stewart coached Gloria for her guest starring role on The Chris Isaak Show. The episode is schedule to air in the winter of 2004 starting February 12 on Showtime.

Stewart is known for drawing out each actor’s individual talent and style, because he believes that all performers are capable of mastering this craft. While he nurtures and guides beginning actors, known personalities and experienced performers have come to trust him for the New York sophistication and expertise that he brings to Miami.

Jon as The Emcee in the Broadway production of CABARET

Stewart has been Jon Secada's acting coach since 1998. He most recently helped prepare Jon for his role as The Emcee for the Broadway production of Cabaret at Studio 54. Jon will play the role June 6 thru August 31, 2003

The arrival of any new trend in popular music inevitably will produce both leaders and followers, innovators and imitators. In the Latin pop explosion now sweeping the international music scene, Jon Secada has been both a leader and an innovator.

A two-time Grammy award winning recording artist with over 20 million albums sold, a dynamic live performer and an insightful songwriter, is an international superstar in his own right. His incredible songwriting talent led him to write music for the likes of Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez and Mandy Moore. No stranger to Broadway, Jon played the lead role of Danny Zuko in the hit musical Grease. Jon's new Spanish album, Amanecer, marks his first Spanish album in over seven years and features chart topping songs like Si No Fuera Por Ti, and Por Amor, a duet with Gloria Estefan.

    Stewart signs New World Symphony
Stewart has recently signed a new client -- the 85-member New World Symphony. He'll teach stage presence and public speaking so musicians can talk to their audience as part of their innovative Musical Exchange Series. At these casual, somewhat improvisatory events, musicians speak informally from the stage. Lighting, audio and video effects and props are often used to add immediacy and atmosphere. Each X-Change offers a variety of solo and small ensemble repertoire. In the fall of 2000, participating NWS musicians worked with Stewart to help create and develop their presentations. In March of 2001 he facilitated another series (picture right). The program is expected to continue for the 2001-02 season.
